A rare and interesting piece of WW2 History!
The Type 38 Carbine was used by the Empire of Japan during the Second Sino-Japanese War and WW2. Intended for use by cavalry, engineers, and other roles where a full sized rifle would be a hindrance. Its barrel is 19", overall length 38", and weighting just 7.3 lb,
The rifle was produced at the Mukden Arsenal in Manchuria sometime between 1934 and 1940.
Issued to the Japanese 32nd Infantry Division
The division was defeated and scattered at the battle of Morotai.
There are no records after this however, It was likely surrendered to the American 136th Infantry Regiment at the end of the war.
The rifle has matching bolt and receiver
Kikimon has been ground off, missing dust cover
Includes reproduction Sling and Bayonet
Also can include 15rnds of 6.5 Jap as well as a few empty cases.
WILL CONSIDER TRADES!
