All,
I have for sale a BSA 1942-dated No4Mk1 Lee Enfield in overall excellent condition. This rifle is numbers matching (with the bolt force-matched during FTR), and is an awesome example of an early-war gun that was later prepared for war-stock following WW2. The metal on the gun is excellent, nice original finish, and the lumber is near perfect - it's CE1967-marked, which was produced following the war for restoring guns within government inventory in the UK. This rifle has a five-groove barrel with nice, sharp rifling, and a number 2 bolt head that headspaces correctly and has correct firing pin protrusion, checked against armourer's gauges. BSA-marked 1300y milled rear sight, a very nice condition magazine (unserialized), as well as a very clean front sight protector and bands. Alloy buttplate, with a nice bit of patina from use. Every part on this rifle is English, and in great shape!
This rifle might have the nicest furniture I have ever had on a rifle - it's really in excellent condition, and feels nice and solid in your hands. You will be super pleased with the gun, I'm certain.
This comes with an English spike bayonet (although in a Canadian Korean-war frog), plus a very nice 1944-dated English sling that's in excellent condition, a brass oiler, new old stock pull-through, leather oiler, and two stripper clips.
Shipping is not included but will be via CanadaPost Expedited Post, insured for $100. It is easiest to ship the rifle with the butt removed (it only takes a long-handled flat blade screwdriver to replace) to avoid a $25 over-length surcharge, but I can ship it complete if you would prefer. Item will ship once payment is received and PAL is verified - I'm presently only able to make it to the post office on weekends, due to work.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Bradley
