Rear sight is calibrated to 1900 yards. Barrel is 18". Receiver dated 1896. Barrel dated 1896. Serial number is 4 digits. Barrel and receiver have the same date.
I will remove the rear sight, $150 for sight only.
Does anyone know why the receiver is stamped "V.R. ENFIELD L.E. 1 I." ?
Bore is quite good but lands a bit short by throat.
The barrel is stamped Drill Purpose but not receiver. There is no evidence of a real reason so I suspect it was retired for loss of accuracy.
