Notice the ornate trigger guard. To remove the trigger guard you remove the small screw then swing over which exposes the rear action screw. Very low three digit serial number Mauser. Most probably a very early Husqvarna where they ordered 98 actions from FN. The bolt has oval gas ports. The receiver has the charger slot and thumb cut. The receiver, bolt, and barrel are all matching numbered. There is a flake (not a crack) in wood which has been stabilized with epoxy. Calibre is 9.3x57. Bore has an unusual groove profile, deeper than typical. Some darkening in bottom of grooves. I read the rounded grip is associated with pre-WW1 rifles. Any expertise on this rifle is appreciated. The bolt has what might be little bird stamps. The trigger is exceptionally smooth and light. Not drilled / tapped. Flip leaf rear sight. The ring diameter is 1.28" so a small ring mauser consistent with pre 1898 manufacture. Cocks on opening.

If wanted, I have brass, dies, and bullets for this rifle. Brass is made by annealing case mouth and enlarging with the dies. 9.3x57 is a popular brush caliber as the large bullets Buck brush much better than small bullets.
I avoid bargaining but lower my price if the item doesn’t sell.
