Adopted by Belgian in 1889, it was the first smokeless powder rifle mauser made, and the first rifle to use stripper clips. Shoots 7.65 arginine, so ammo is easy enough to find.
This example was produced under contract by BSA between 1916 and 1918. It has a duffle cut under the front barrel band, and a mismatching bolt, so it's likely a vet bring back from the first world wars. All parts other than the bolt are matching.
Under the barrel jacket, the barrel is still shiny and in the white. No rust at all from what I can see.
Looking to get $3500 + shipping, but im also open to trade.
