J Stevens Springfield Model 87M

One for the .22 collector. Scarce Springfield Model 87M .22 semi auto. Designed to resemble the M1 Garand this rifle was part of an initial 300 produced early in WW2, submitted for evaluation as a trainer but rejected and sold commercially. This rifle is marked accordingly under the butt plate and the end of the butt stock (can provide pic if needed...) Very good condition. Functions as it should (with quality ammo) Excellent full wood stock. Tubular magazine. Leather sling. Will ship on buyers dime, but would prefer a face to face sale. This rifle has been very well cared for, but I just don't shoot .22 anymore...
