RARE Marlin Safety model 1889 . Manufactured in 1891. 38-40 Calibre. Short tube . This old rifle has a crack on the butt stock and a tiny chip repair as shown in pics. It appears that the original barrel may have been shortened at some point. The bore is wore some but riflings are present . It cycles but a little sticky. Could use a good cleaning. This is still an attractive old cowboy rifle and a hard one to find for the collectors.Pal required
