WW2 Mauser 98. Stamped 1940 with inspection stamps visible. floor plate, barrel and receiver numbers match. bolt has a different number. Nazi Swastika stamped on barrel and receiver. The rifle was Sporterized by GEHA so the wooden stock has been cut shorter and the cleaning rod is missing. As Geha had it to convert, it looks like it was never captured. ( And wasn't converted to a shotgun.) An interesting piece from a dark part of history. Rifling is good and it cycles well. Typical patina for a war rifle over 80 years old.
