From the serial number the gun was manufactured in 1886.
The buttstock was missing so replaced with a buttstock from Precision Rifle.
The rear sight was missing so replaced with a Marbles rear sight.
The original blued finish has turned brown. There is some minor pitting externally. The bore is a bit rough but still has strong rifling.
I have been informed that the dust cover on the bolt is missing so asking price dropped. The gun is functional without it but of course it should be there!
All else is original and the gun is fully functional and shoots well. Ammunition must be factory ammunition, black powder or black powder equivalent pressure loads, not Marlin 1895 level loads.
