Springfield Armory Model 1903 Rifle & Bayonet WW1 in 30-06 Springfield

I do not want to sell this gun! I hate to have to sell it but if I imported it they would stamp the barrel with some stupid brokerage firms business name and that would hurt not only me but the value of this fine rifle from such an important time in history.

Springfield Armory Model 1903 Rifle & Bayonet in 30-06

Collector Condition - This is the US Springfirld 1903 c/w Original Bayonet & Leather
Sling all complete and as issued in Excellent Condition.

This unit is very good - and comes with a nice Bayonet.

Condition : Wood is very good with no cracks or major chips - Does have the
usual dents and scrapes one would expect from a Military Rifle of this age.
The metal exposed does have a very nice patina that is even and stamping is very
clear. Bore is very dark but in excellent shape with strong rifling. The small trap-door
on the steel butt plate is a little bent but easily fixed.

Heavy Leather strap with brass fittings has no damage.

The bayonet has a steel scabbard that has some small amount of pitting on the outside.
Blade is stamped US on one side and 1903 on the other. The carry strap is steel
and all intact.

This is the particular rifle that should have a place in every collector's gun safe
Its is the venerable U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30-06, Model of 1903, better known as the
Model 1903 Springfield (M1903). Fielded just after the start of the 20th century, the
M1903 saw hard service on the Western frontier, the Caribbean, the Philippines and
the Mexican border before it was sent to World War I battlefields.
