BSA Mauser 98 Sporter .243 Win Rifle

NO TRADES. This is an estate gun so limited history on it. It appears to be an unknown Mauser 98 action that has been scrubbed, with a heavy BSA manufactured barrel installed in .243. Bore is excellent with shiny and sharp rifling. Weaver bases installed. Numbers on the bolt components look to be German manufacture. Barrel is 20 inches long and the last few inches are stepped down to 0.813 inches. Perhaps this was once for a sleeve mounted front sight. Recessed muzzle looks well done. Stock is a walnut Sporter stock with squared profile fore end and right hand cheek piece. Some nice grain patterns to the wood.
