It’s a rare opportunity to own a WWI Royal Navy contract Winchester 1894 Saddle ring carbine. During WWI Britain ordered 20,000 Winchester 1892 and only 5,000 model 1894 SRC from Winchester. Most of them are built in 1915 and proofed by Canadian inspector so they will bear a DCP mark on the barrel. The M1894 they ordered is chambered in 30WCF (30-30). This rifle is in good condition with old reblued finish. Serial 737xxx. Wood has been lightly sanded but still tight tang fitment. Metal in great condition, no rust or pitting. Some worn finish marks on receiver from saddle ring wearing. Barrel address and factory markings are clear visible. I haven’t shot it but action cycles well.
