(SALE or TRADE) Price Reduced - No.5 "Jungle Carbine"

Selling (or willing to trade)  a 1945 manufactured Lee Enfield No.5 Mk1 with a few extras. Rifle is in good to very good condition for its age, with barrel/bore in great shape. Reason for selling is simple; it has far too much recoil for me! I knew the “Jungle Carbine” had a reputation for high recoil when I bought it, but I underestimated it! For reference, it has heavier recoil than a No.4 or a P-14 in the same caliber and I’d say even higher than a 300 WinMag.  So, if you’re shy with recoil, this probably isn’t the gun for you!

All that said, here’s what I’m selling. And while some of the extras aren’t really useful for hunting, this would make a great short to mid-ranged moose or elk gun since it’s heavy hitting and nice and lightweight.

1. 1945 Manufactured Lee Enfield No.5 “Jungle Carbine” Rifle
2. Original new old-stock sling
3. Extra Lee Enfield No.4/5 magazine (that fits this rifle)
4. Reproduction Lee Enfield No.5 Bayonet and Scabbard
5. 3x .303 British Stripper clips (works on No.4/5 or P-14 etc)
6. Full set of Lee Enfield No.4/5 front sight inserts.
7. Lee Enfield No.4/5 front sight adjustment tool

Will throw in a combination trigger lock and rifle sock for free and I also have 3 boxes of new 180grain .303 British available for $45/box.

I’m only interested in face to face transaction and will be checking PAL ahead of time on RCMP website of course. I’m located in Ottawa but also travel to the Haliburton/Minden area a few times a year and may be open to doing a sale in that area as well.
