Savage 1899 H ? Takedown .22 HP . Most HP’s I’ve encountered tend to have roach’d bores . This one actually is pretty decent . High continuous rifling , semi dark between the lands . 1/4 turn take down . 20” lightweight barrel . Tight and sights top centred . Butt plate has a different serial # . Period to 1915 but not matching . Repair at bottom of stock , pinned and rock solid securing a hairline running back towards the wrist . I cannot !! Get any flex , she is solid . Might be a tiny hairline at upper tang but I’m inclined to say most of the marks are from a previously mounted sight . Blue is original and prob 65% +- remains . Nice case colours left on the lever . All n all priced as a shooter, ammo available known as 5.6x52R . Plus mail from Ontario .
