7x 57 FN Mauser

I have two rifles to sell as I have another big purchase in play. The first is a Model 98 in the great 7 x 57 caliber. The action is an FN commercial one, with commercial bolt shroud and side safety. The bottom metal includes a hinged floorplate and metal grip cap. A new Pachmayr Decelerator pad sits on a nicely oil finished stock. The blueing is good. And it is a good shooter. Scope and rings are not included but could be negotiated. One safe kiss is highlighted in the pics. $950 plus shipping.

I've had a number of enquiries asking about the rifle manufacturer. I've attached a couple of pictures showing the Belgium proof marks and a comparison of proof marks from another of my FN's. According to "Bolt Action Rifles" there were FN actions produced that FN did not mark with the manufactured in Belgium rollmark. To the best of my knowledge this would be an early FN action and I'd welcome any additional information someone might have to offer.
