Hi,
For your consideration is a Kar98k, manufactured in Bystrica, Czechoslovakia in 1945.
This rifle bears a Star of David on its receiver, denoting service with the Haganah and subsequently the IDF. Lion stamped on both the side of the receiver and under the bolt, which was briefly standard on rifles completed post-WW2.
The rifle itself is entirely mismatched, as is the case with most rifles built/completed post-war by the Czechs.
Rifling is very good, action is smooth, there is however some play in between the stock and the action, along with a crack at the tang and on each recoil lug. I would recommend a proper bedding and stock repair be done before using this rifle.
Most of these rifles were later converted to 7.62 NATO, however I tested this one with 8mm Mauser Snap Caps and it feeds and ejects without issue.
Asking $1200, will come with 5 stripper clips. Also available are an original Kar98k cleaning kit for $100 and 2 cleaning rods for $35 each.
Local sale only, possible trade +/- cash for other milsurp rifles, mainly looking for Norwegian K98kF1 in 30-06, K43, authentic Mosin PU, M1 Garand, Gewehr 98, VZ-52, AG-42, other than that try your trades.
More pictures available on request, je parle aussi français, I have another one for sale so be sure to check it out as well.
