These "Bavarians" were given by the US occupation army to the police and border guards of their sector (mostly Bavaria). The Germans sent them to the armory to be verified, accurized and the peep rear sight changed to a standard adjustable leaf brazed on the receiver. Very elegant job.
I write "accurized" because the four Bavarians I presently own are the tightest grouping M1 Carbines of the some 15 that have come through my hands over the years . Rock Ola (jukebox manufacturer) are the carbines with the lowest production figure during WWII and therefore very sought after. Based on number of manufactures Carbines (during WW-II) and the lease to Bavaria, the chances of finding an M1 Carbine that is both Rock Ola and "Bavarian" are about one in 1500.
THIS IS A RESTRICTED FIREARM you need the corresponding RPAL to purchase. Yes transfers for restricted rifles are still being processed by Miramichi. Comes with one 15 rds mag pined to 5, old sling and oiler.
