This is a great example of an early Winchester model 1894 30 W.C.F. saddle ring carbine rifle chambered in the venerable and popular 30-30. Depending on your source, the date of manufacture of the firearm was 1897 or 1898.
I haven't fired the old girl, but the rifle cycles ammunition like it should and hammer locks tightly in half and full cock. Appears all original minus the rear 3-leaf express sight which looks like the middle leaf was ground down to a small v-notch.
The rifle is showing it's approx 128 year old age though. There is an approximate 2cm hairline crack in the rear stock behind the tang, and another 4cm hairline crack in the forearm stock in front of the barrel band. I've repaired these types of cracks on another gun with with good success, and happy to share my process. Really good candidate for a complete restoration, or leave as is.
Bore is dark but rifling is present. Saddle ring has been lost to time.
$1050 obo plus actual shipping. Low ball offers will be politely ignored. PAL will be verified. Thanks for looking
