What's .510 Whisper? Back in the 90's, J.D. Jones of SSK Industries invented the Whisper family of cartridges. I'm sure everyone is familiar with .300 Blackout, well.. first it was called the .300 Whisper. Personally, I think Kevin Brittingham is a bit of a hack saying that he invented the 300 Blackout.. same goes for the 8.6 Blackout. There was already the .338 Whisper. Anyways... .510 Whisper is the biggest of them all. It's a subsonic 50cal made by cutting down a .338 Lapua case, turning the neck, and sticking a 50 BMG projectile in it. This rifle is a rebarreled Sako TRG 42. KS Arms made and installed the 16" 1:9 twist barrel. There's a lot of stuff that comes with this, I'll try to get pictures of some of it instead of writing a long list. This was a super fun project, but I have bills to pay, so it's gotta go. There's been about 25 rounds down the tube during load development, and that's it. Get in touch if you're interested. Thanks.
