Selling my Weatherby Backcountry 2.0, chambered in 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum for $3150 shipped. Advertised price does not come with scope, however does come with scope rings. Would leave the scope on for $3950 shipped (insurance is extra). Zero is currently at 300 yards with 127 grain LRX.
Weighs 6.2 pounds without a scope, with a scope and loaded it's between 7 and 8 pounds depending on which scope you have. The way I have it configured, it was closer to 7 pounds. This is all thanks to the beautiful carbon fibre stock, which is rigid, strong, yet incredibly light weight. The muzzle break and 3D recoil pad make it so that you do not have a lot of felt recoil considering the power this cartridge has. The 6.5-300 WBY MAG is the fastest 6.5mm cartridge around. Typical zeroes are 300 yards, which give you a maximum point blank range of 400 yards; just aim for the vitals and shoot. American build quality is excellent, and you can't beat the Mark V action.
This rifle has been extremely precise, so far it has really liked the 127 grain Barnes LRX bullets and the 130 grain Swift Scirocco bullets. If the sale is local, I have some ammo you could buy as well. Factory ammo is pretty pricey, but well made. Every deer taken so far has been one shot.
I'm looking to start a new build so while it pains me to part with this rifle, I would rather someone else get some use out of it rather than it sitting in the safe.
