PENDING TRADE
This is quite a rare .22 to find. These rifles were made on contract by Simson in Germany for the Wehrmacht between January & February of 1934, only 2500 made in total. The "A" designation just means this rifle cocks on bolt-opening.
The last one of these to sell in North America was a full stock version that sold for $1400 USD in the states.
Everything on this rifle functions as it should, but the firing pin can be a bit squirrelly so I have included a couple pieces of 2.5mm lathe stock should it need a replacement.
As you can see, this gun met bubba at some point in the last 90 years. The stock was cut, re-stained (actually looks pretty good), barrel bedded onto a modified bayonet mount, and the scope was added. It's got a nice shade of patina over the majority of the parts, with the scope being perfectly blued and the bore is nice & shiny with great rifling. I'm not usually a fan of sporterized guns but this one wins my vote for best ingenuity lol
It's a pretty heavy rifle, but it's meant to mock the K98k, so it's pretty faithful to it. The Weaver B6 is a nice touch, and adds a cool touch to the accuracy on this gun. The bolt and safety work perfectly, as the scope is at a perfect height.
Will entertain trades! Would love an antique revolver (.32/.38 RF or percussion), or could trade this and EMT/Cash for something antique/quirky in good working order!
As the title says, shipping is no extra. Price is OBO. Will knock down for local sale.
