Description:
Manufactured in 1935. Marketed as "Everyone's Sweetheart" and earned the nickname "The Greatest Little Shotgun in the World." Steel bead front sight on the matte rib with standard barrel markings, Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, 3 inch chamber, and "SKEET" marked choke. "TRAP" marking on the receiver under the serial number. Correct fancy double diamond checkered extension forearm and straight grip stock with a diamond carved on the underside of the wrist, and checkered Winchester Repeating Arms hard rubber buttplate.
Rating Definition:
Very good-to-excellent, retains 97% plus original blue finish with some mild slide retraction marks, and traces of light surface spotting. Small area of abrasion on lower right receiver. The wood is very fine with crisp, well defined checkering and numerous small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
The same model in very similar condition sold last year at auction in the US for over $81,000 CAD. This one has been price-adjusted for the Canadian market and can be considered a bargain at this price for the serious collector.
