This Stevens 520 shotgun with a serial number of 86,000 was made between 1909 and 1939, as that was the production period for the Model 520. The Stevens Model 520 was designed by John Browning and manufactured by J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. This single hump receiver, Stevens 520 was properly stripped and reblued in a cold bluing ( by Jake Blueing ), stocks in fantastic condition with original Red Head Brand rubber butt pad. Bottom feed, bottom eject, same as notorious Ithaca model 37, is the preferred load , eject system for combat shotguns, in North America. The barrel was cut to 18" by a certified Gunsmith and a red fibre optic sight was also installed. Yes it Slam Fires. Its plugged for 2 with one in chamber. Comes in a new Uncle Mikes padded take down carry bag. Sweet home defence shotgun , the same as the Stevens Riot 520 - 30 shotgun, as these shotguns had tang safety, checkering on pistol grip and forearm, single hump receiver, Red Head Brand rubber butt pad. Built like a tank. $650 with case or $550 no case.
