William Evans Boxlock Ejector a fine London double barrel shotgun from the “Golden Age” of gun making.

A SxS chambered in 12 bore with a 28 1/4" barrel and choked quite open at approximately at 1/4 & 1/2, with ejectors. The chambers are nitro proofed 2 1/2.” Manufactured in 1901, the serial number is 568X.
The English walnut stock is very dark veined, stunning and solid. Length of pull is 14” to a striated butt, weighing 6 lbs. 4oz. The drop at comb is 1 1/8 with drop at heel measuring 1 3/4".
The gun is 90% + fully refinished to its original condition with a crisp engraved receiver, some case colours remaining. Repairs to wrist visible in detailed image of the buttstock.
Mechanically the gun is perfect with excellent bore. The action tight and on face. Ejectors and screws all perfectly timed.
A true example of the finest “turn of the century” British gun making in a lovely, light 12 bore.
