Old Belgian side by side shotgun. 30’’ Damascus steel barrel 16 gauge 2 1/2’’. Good clean bores without rust or pitting, nice wood without any crack. Action close tight. One replacement screw, have the original broken one. Proof marks for black powder only, not safe with modern smokeless ammo. Seem complete and functional. These shotgun wearing the name of "Larivière Incorporée’’ were manufacture circa 1910.
The business of Larivière Incorporée was formed in 1908. They were successor to Amiot, Lecours et Larivière Incorporé. They probably stayed in business still up to the 1980's.
Produced by SPI “Syndicat des Pièces Interchangeables de Herstal” (Trade union of the Interchangeable Parts of Herstal) Credit of 1899 to 1946. It is about an association between NEUMANN Frères, JANSEN & Fils and DUMOULIN Fils & C°.
