12 bore BLNE by E. Chamberlain of Andover, England. 30" in-proof steel barrels choked approx. IC and full, bores excellent. Flat rib with brass bead. Barrel walls .034" right, .036" left. 2 1/2" chambers with Birmingham nitro-proofs. Webley 'screw grip' action is on-face. Very fine scroll engraving with pointer and pheasants engraved on trigger guard; all screws very good. Walnut stock with LOP 14 1/2" and chequered butt. Cast-off about 3/8", DAC 1 9/16", DAH 2 3/4". Weight is 6 lbs 11 oz.
A fine boxlock non-ejector from a provincial maker, and a great shooter.
