Selling a Browning Auto 5 made in Belgium by FN. Great shotgun for the money if you don’t mind cosmetic wear. Either embrace the patina or great candidate for restoration.
Gun has seen lots of use in the last 74 years and has lots of cosmetic wear but looks to be in great mechanical condition. These guns were built bulletproof.
Gun has very little bluing and has a patina on the receiver and about half of the barrel. Wood has marks and scuffs but no cracks that I can see.
All original that I can tell. Wooden foregrip matches the receiver serial and the barrel looks to be original too.
Gunmetal is smooth to the touch throughout, no rust or corrosion that I can see. Barrel is likewise in solid mechanical condition.
Not test fired but all the parts are here and it is mechanically tight so I wouldn’t expect any issues. Selling as parts only given the age and not personally test firing. Will take it to the range next week if this ad is still up and confirm function when I’m able.
Asking what I paid last month for it- was going to restore it but I need space in the safe for other purchases. One of brownings best designs and made in Belgium to boot.
