I dealt with Dan for a 120-year-old Marlin lever-action. As he was packaging it up for shipment, he noticed a bulge in the barrel, which he thought might make the firearm unsafe or inaccurate to shoot. He immediately refunded my money (plus 5 bucks for the transfer), with apologies. A classy and responsible move. I hope we'll deal again in future.
I purchased an 1871 Snider from this member. It was listed as "For Restoration" and was described as (only) having a broken butt stock. I also saw the same ad on TownPost - It said the gun was in "working condition".When the gun arrived I noticed the firing pin assembly was missing and the breech block was so damaged that it will not even close fully. I contacted the seller and asked to either return the gun or compensate. He refused either. I have contacted the moderator here and at TownPost.He is rated good so far here but he isnt being fair with me. I do not know why.
