2nd review about this vendor. Excellent transaction as I said in my first review. He spoke about what an excellent shooting gun this is, what a great gun I was getting, etc. But the rifle I bought from him is a dud. Now I know why he sold it. The first group I shot was 14” @ 100 yds, terrible. Took it apart and free floated the barrel, removed the muzzle brake, but when I tried to tighten the stock, I discovered the stock had been crushed or thread stripped by overtightening the front action screw, couldn’t get it tight. Got it down to 3-4”. It came with a muzzle brake, I dont need or want a muzzle brake on a 270, I took it to a gunsmith to get a thread protector made for it. The gunsmith showed me how the threads had been improperly cut, he recommended to remove the threads/recrown it, which I did. He also said that could be at least part of the accuracy problem. It was, I took it to the range and it shot half inch, and that’s with that damaged stock/ loose front screw. Now that’s more like an Tikka. I ordered a new stock for it. In the end it will be an excellent rifle, it’s in great shape despite the abuse it’s had. All told, I’m out of pocket $650, plus the hassle/ aggravation of doing this. I sent him a few texts and gave him time to respond and come good for this deception. No reply. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PERSON, HE CANT BE TRUSTED.
