Communication was quick, smooth and accurate. Rifle scope arrived 2 days early safe and undamaged. Product was "like new" unblemished and in perfect working order just as described. Extremely pleased with the deal, transaction and optic. Great experience.
Awesome seller to deal with. Answered all my questions. Secure packaging for my rifle. Purchased exactly what was in the ad. Would definately buy from him again
I ordered a muzzle brake for my 308, was shipped promptly and arrived in a couple days. He included everything needed, was securely packaged, including an extra crush washer as well as a lock nut, (I politely asked, as usually only one or the other is shipped) because I'm not sure which way it'll be mounted yet. He sent a photo of it packaged with receipt and tracking number. All in all, an excellent, fast and more than fair transaction, and would have no problem dealing with Mr. Joe Addison in future dealings.
Joe is a very nice person to deal with, sold him a couple of scopes payment was quick a real pleasure for sure five plus stars rating hope to deal with him more in the future. Thx again!!
Joe recently inquired about something I had for sale , even though we didn't end up making a deal joe was a great guy to deal with responsed quickly was a fair negotiator an all around good guy , hope to deal with him in the future . Thanks joe
The negative review that Joe Addison graced me with is full of inaccuracies, missing context, missing information, and poorly paraphrased misinterpretations and misrepresentations of what I had sent to him. I have no issue sending the whole transcript of all emails (pretty much just an "I'll take it" with billing and shipping information), and the photos for those who are interested, as they are readily available. If you want the quick summation, see the last paragraph/list before the email transcripts.
At the bottom I did attach a copy and paste transcript of our last two emails. As can be seen in my response, I factually explained, and provided reasoning, to his complaints which were overly exaggerated. He even admits to buying it under self-induced assumptions that he made up about it!That of the "best condition" even though only listed as definition "good". From this one can draw the logical conclusion thatif it was not perfect he would not be happy, which is clearly seen in his email, and is frankly a symptom of someone who is delusional. I write pretty basic ads that do not over-sell anything, mainly listing basic general features, so that if someone wants to ask questions, they can, and most people do. As such, and as always, it was sold on an as-is where-is basis. I am also not a business, and there was no return/refund arrangement agreed upon. His complaints are also nullified as he COULD have at least taken a (close(r)) look at the photos (if he even bothered to that is), and he COULD have actually asked questions which he was more than free to do.
Once someone else receives an item, I do not know what they do with it. If they take it apart, damage it, or even if they fire hand loads, or the wrong ammo through it. I do not know what happens to it once I mail it off. I would not know until I receive it back several weeks later upon an inspection to see if I can find missing, damaged, and/or improperly assembled parts/pieces (this has happened in the past). As such, and has been a common rule, all sales are final unless being previously disclosed or agreed to. This goes into the non-firing issue (which I was not made aware of prior to his "review"). It was function tested before it was listed, and there were no functionality issues with it that I was able to find. So, this tells me at the very least that it was taken apart, and put it back together incorrectly, which would lead to his claimed issue of non-firing which he blames on me.
He even has the audacity to ask if I am honest or not!? I have to ask you the same thing! I did not conceal anything in my ads, or in questions that are asked to me. Photos, and a basic description were provided in the ad, if you had required more, I would have had no problem in providing them to the best of my ability. I hold true, and am able back up with photos, and other evidence, to my explanations in my response to him, which I might add, he butchered for the sole purpose of writing a negative review; you can even see in his "review" where he cut out, and pasted only the few words that would go along with his narrative! Do you work for the CBC, CNN, etc? If not, maybe something to consider as they are far from honest.
I have had the displeasure of working retail in the past, and those who have know that the idiotic idea of "the customer is always right" is pure fantasy, not to mention very draining for the workers. This person must still believe in it as that was apparent in the dealings here, as when they did not get what exactly what they wanted, and how they wanted it (to self-set standards), they make demands, and when being explained what they were saying was wrong/incorrect, and that they are not going to get their way, they write a negative review a week after the fact.
So,if you are looking to sell to this person, or whoever else might be using the account... expect someone that does not ask questions, does not look closely at photos, expects to be hand fed every little piece of information without asking for it, does not understand definitions, does not understand grading standards and instead sets their own, expects to always get their way (and mad when they do not), does not understand the fact that something is only ever new once, and who is frankly delusional overall.
Joe et al - Sincerely, never contact me again.
His last email: I bought a mossberg 12 pump from you with adjustable choke. I received it yesterday thank you. I do have a concern as to condition. It’s definitely not not the best of condition? Bluing on the barrel is 50% at best with lots of rust... Wood is oil soaked and smells really bad (reeks actually) Add said stock was beaded? This maybe true but it also is cracked (this also not disclosed?) These issues were not disclosed in the add or brought to my attention before purchasing. This is in my opinion $150-200 gun?.... I’m not sure as to my opinions? I guess it depends if you are honest or not? But I think I would like to return it for a refund, as it’s definitely not what I expected to get, and it might be worth that amount when your at? but definitely not here. Not trying to be difficult or rude it’s just not the shape I was expecting. The lack of information in the add led me to believe it was in better shape? I love the style of the gun! and is what I was looking for, I just have a issue with condition....... If you do stand behind your product and if it is possible, I would appreciate it if I could return it.
My response: Blueing is red oxide (rust) that is converted to black oxide (bluing). Over time, use, and heat, blueing starts changing to a brown colour, sometimes called "petina". That is what is on it, it is not active rust (orange, and/or scales), but a natural stage in a used firearm's lifespan. This was easily seen in the photos which I have attached. The stock was given a coat of boiled linseed oil, which is a wood sealant that has been used for centuries, any "odor" will subside, and being in a box for a couple weeks will naturally amplify any smells. The stock was bedded, and that surface level hairline was sealed in the process. I stated that there were "no active cracks" in the ad, which means that any pre-existing were fixed, and no longer an issue. Also, by having the stock bedded, the recoil load is evenly distributed through the wood, meaning there is no chance for it to open up. Where it is located, is clearly seen in the photos in the ad, those photos are attached. If you are unfamiliar, you can hold CTRL and press + to magnify, or hold CTRL and press - to zoom out. A firearm is only new once. Not looking over the photos, not asking for more photos, and not asking any pertinent questions is not a fault of mine; as with all private sales, it is buyer beware, and all sales are final. None of those aforementioned things were done, and I was even willing to accept a lower price for you ($325 shipped, which works out to $280+shipping). This is also why there are definitions for the general condition. You stated in your most recent email that your expectations were that of "the best condition" when I had listed as only being in "Good" condition, which is the correct definition. Lastly, I am not a business.
Really happy with my purchase from Joe! Quick to ship and no surprises he is very honest and a trustworthy person to deal with! Like the other reviews say his packaging was bomb proof! Would deal with him again for sure!
Awesome guy to deal with he's quick to respond and packages the item super well it's almost bomb proof. Hopefully get to deal with him again in the future
So I'm going to start by saying this was my first high dollar gunpost transaction. I'm not ashamed to say that I am not a very rich guy and sending 2K to someone I never met scared the crap out of me. Joe and I had talked via phone calls and emails for a couple of weeks and he completely understood how I was feeling and was able to go above and beyond what i would expect from a seller to make me feel comfortable.
Joe is very meticulous in his descriptions. My new rifle was in better condition than I could have ever hoped and even with the covid pandemic going on the transaction went very smoothly. The item was shipped almost immediately. Joe also included some extras that I appreciate very much. Joe also went above and beyond when packaging my items. I probably could have drove back and forth over that box without damaging my rifle. I am beyond happy. Please do not hesitate to deal with this gentleman. He is a man of his word. Thank you again Joe and I hope to do business again. I wish you all the best sir.
