Original Barnett Flintlock Mechanism

I am unsure if this lock came off a gun made by Thomas Barnett 1795 to 1833 or his son John Edward Barnett who took over after 1833.

I was wanting to keep this to use for building an Indian Trade Gun, from what I can tell it does not look like this would have come off one of those guns.

I would like this to go to a proper home who would use this to rebuild a Barnett, or someone who would use this in their scratch build of a Barnett.

If it does not sell I will end up using it in either of these ways eventually.

I have not sparked it with flint but I have no concerns regarding it being able to function.
