Benjamin 397p early mid 90s model

I bought this rifle as parts. Needed the valve rebuilt and the barrel had separation from using the oem rear sight. I removed the rear sight, repaired the barrel separation and rebuilt the valve with new parts. New pump cup and a williams adjustable receiver sight installed. piston was originally designed to limit the pressure going into the valve, for canadian law. Originally a non pal rifle. I plugged the bleed hole and made it full power. Pal is now required. 

I also replaced the hinge pin and block pin with alloy steel dowel pins with e-clips securing them. Far superior to the old roll pins. No hammering to disassemble.

Tested with 9.5gr pellets at 710fps with 8 pumps. No doubt it will shoot over 800 with light pellets. It is otherwise in great shape. Very clean, looks like someone attempted to varnish the stock. 

Quite a rare gun these days. Get one while you can. Or buy a plastic one.
