Five machete, two unknown , one used Gavilan Colombia, presentation Legitimus Guatemala, and last a Gavilan Colombia with very elaborate and well made sheath.
From left we have 18” with letters that might say “ Resty Till”?? and with a very crude solid cast handle $23 (my guess Latin American), next a no name with injection moulded handle $14 (my guess Chinese), the military surplus hilt fits either of these first two and is $5.
Next we have a used “GAVILAN DE INCOLMA COLOMBIA” higher quality steel 22” blade and solid grip meant for years of daily cutting $47.
Next a 24” Busquese La Estampa Collins & Co Hartford Legitimus Collins & Co Guatemala with presentation hand chased leather sheath $250. (See on eBay $420)
Lastly a 22” Gavilan de INCOLMA Colombia in a hand chased leather sheath with an added hot stamped “Cuba” which implies this is a souvenir. The leather work is excellent . $110
I avoid bargaining but instead lower my price if no sale.
