Nice WWI Imperial German Navy Sword Named to Officer

This is a nice example of a WWI German navy sword. It has both glass eyes on the lion's head hilt. They are green and red to represent port and starboard. The sword sheaths decently, but it is a tight fit, owing to the shrinking of the leather. Most of the original gilt on the fittings is present. The name of the officer who purchased this sword is engraved on the folding guard. It isn't maker marked, but I belive it is a deluxe version as it is slightly larger and more elaborate than the other one I have listed. The blade has etched nautical motifs but these have faded over the last one hundred years.
