This is an antique Colt New Line Revolver. This has a 5 shot fluted cylinder chambered in .41 colt. The .41 caliber New Lines were often referred to as “The Big Colt” and were produced from 1874 to 1879. This has a 2-1/4” barrel with “COLT NEW 41” marked on the left side. This retains around 70% of original nickel with fire blue still found on all screws, hammer and trigger. The grips are in excellent condition with a couple very small dings. Mechanically this revolver is in excellent condition with perfect timing and solid lockup. The bore is bright, shiny and in near perfect condition with sharp rifling.
The Colt New Lines were very reliable and concealable revolvers that were often used as back ups for when men had to turn in their revolvers due to town laws outlawing firearms. This revolver would make a beautiful addition to any Colt or spur trigger collection.
This is an antique so no PAL is required for purchase. Buyer must be 18 or older and able to prove it. Shipping is available at buyers expense. All used firearms should be inspected by a competent gunsmith prior to any form of use.
