*price drop Nov 9* For sale is a mechanically excellent example of the renowned and reliable Webley Mk 1 service revolver chambered in .455 Webley (.476 Eley) and .45 ACP or .45 Auto Rim. With so many accessible and impressive rounds it can shoot these revolvers are popular with bushmen, cattlemen, collectors, and all who want to still own a handgun in JT's Canada. Webley Mk. 1s were the first mass-produced British guns, starting with 10000 ordered by the British army in 1887. Serial 22xxx, this one was made pre-1892 as stamped on the backstrap. Around the 1950s, thousands of these revolvers were sold from British military service to America where they were often milled to also accept .45 ACP with moon clips - this revolver is one such example, and fires both that and .455 Webley or .476 Eley flawlessly. As an antique, this requires no PAL or registration to own or use. Comes with a fantastic leather WW1 WPG 1915 holster with a cleaning rod. Can sell with Fiocchi ammo if you have a PAL.

This particular revolver is in near tip-top shape for a top-break revolver. The action is smooth and clean in SA & DA operation, the lockup is airtight, the extractor is smooth, the trigger pull is pleasant, and the latch and hinges have no wiggle room. It functions great and is a joy to shoot. I put 5 rounds through from 10 yards and had a blast (accuracy is from the eye of the holder, so don't take my grouping as any indication!)

Visually this gun is a star. It has a beautiful unspoiled shiny black finish with minimal dents or scratches, a clean bore and chambers, and clear factory machine marks indicating nothing has been refinished. It is serialized 22630 with British Navy broad arrows and many proofs and inspector marks. It also has numerous unit marks with some crossed out including "64", "10", "25", and 1892 (likely the year).
