Manhattan Arms Navy 36 Percussion Revolver
- Antique firearm, no firearm registration required -
This famous handgun from the Civil War era is a similar model to the Colt 1851 revolver, made after Colt's patent expired, and features several improvements.
Silver Plated trigger guard, elegant looking unlike later brass guards.
The entire gun is matching (including arbor which is matching but not pictured) in excellent condition, and fully functional, with a 6.5-inch barrel, .36 caliber percussion revolver, and a five-shot capacity. The rifling is intact, with some residue from black powder, and the cylinder is engraved with a naval-themed design.
This piece, serial number 62554, belongs to the fourth batch of upgraded versions, with a reinforced rod tip to prevent deformation, and the cylinder featuring additional locking slots for enhanced safety during firing. The total production was around 69,000 units, significantly fewer than the original Colt 1851 model, which had a production of 250,000 units, making it highly collectible.
