Belgian proof mark "British Bull-Dog", DA. 38 S&W Center Fire 5 rounds Revolver This one is in excellent condition. The most of original nickel is intact. The action is accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The grips are excellent and undamaged with an excellent fit.. The bore of the 2.5 inch barrel is very good, with sharp rifling. The gun is chambered for a 380 Rev cartridge, and can accommodate a 38 S&W ammo, excellent overall. Sharp markings, pre-1893 Belgian proofs.
"British Bulldogs" were based on the very successful Webley Bulldogs, and were the European equivalent of the American compact pocket revolvers of the 1880's. Made by reputable makers, these small but powerful revolvers enjoyed tremendous popularity back in the day - and again today.
