Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army in 41 Long Colt caliber, 4 3/4" barrel, 6 shot. Manufactured in 1893 and shipped to New York City April 27 as stated in the included highly desirable Colt Manufacturing Historical Letter. The Colt SAA 1873 is the most recognizable sidearm of the American West and is one of the most coveted antique eligible revolvers available in Canada! This Colt is an original nickel gun and the finish shows wear from years of use. The grips are modern replacements in excellent condition. Serial numbers match on frame, trigger guard and back strap. The first hammer click position or "safety notch position" is not present, the other 3 hammer click positions are all present. The first click being not present doesn't at all affect the shootability of this great piece as many cowboys always kept an empty chamber as their safety. Timing is good, lockup is good with about 1mm of non concerning movement. Bore shows wear and a patch of corrosion about halfway down, cylinder walls rate good for the vintage. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire. The highly sought after Colt Historical Letter is included and costs near $200 to obtain. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Will include an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. $8995 includes Free Shipping, Colt Letter and RCMP antique paperwork. If you have any questions or need more pictures or video please feel free to ask.
