German Model 1883 Reichsrevolver, manufactured by VCS CGH Arms Consortium in Suhl Germany. 4.5" barrel, 6 shot, all serial numbers match. These Reichsrevolvers are chambered in 11mm German Ordnance caliber which is like 44 Russian caliber. Most use the readily available 44 Russian brass as the best reloading option. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire. The action functions excellent on this piece. Half and full cock work well. Timing and lockup are good. Cylinder walls are very clean, bore rates good with common wear. Original grips have a nice dark hue, lanyard ring has been removed. Backstrap has German military unit markings that will make for interesting research. The finish on this piece appears original and shows very well compared to most Reichsrevolvers!
