Webley WG 1889 Model in 455 Webley Caliber. 6" barrel, 6 shot. This cylinder has not been shaved/altered and is in it's original 455 configuration. Retailer marked on the top strap: MANTON & CO LONDON & CALCUTTA. Most of these 1889 Webley's were commercially sold to officers who would serve in India and Africa. This is an early "church steeple cylinder" example as it has the distinctive church steeple style cylinder flutes which were ceased circa 1893. The action on this piece functions well in single and double action. Timing and lockup are good, slight common non original movement in lockup. Barrel to frame connection is good. Bore and cylinder walls rate good-very good with only mild wear. Original birds head grips are in good shape, lanyard ring is intact. Serial number matches on frame and cylinder. Overall a nice solid example of a hard to find early Webley church steeple 1889! Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Will include an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire. $4250 includes Free Shipping. If you have any questions or need more pictures or video please feel free to ask.
