Original Colt 1851 navy made in 1861 according the colts files. .36 percussion, 7.5" barrel. numbers match on frame, back strap, barrel, cylinder and loading lever. action cycles smooth with occasional binding on one chamber. 3 clicks of the hammer which is correct for an 1851 navy. grips appear to be original and in good condition. cylinder scene worn away/ covered by nickel finish.
timing and lockup are good and the pistol has been refinished in nickel at some point long ago. cylinder nipples are all clear with a small crack in one of them. bore condition is poor and forcing cone has a crack, would need a new barrel from pietta or an original barrel, or can be used as an excellent display piece or parts gun.
antique status in Canada so no PAL required to purchase or own. I will include a printout of the RCMP FRT showing antique status.
