This military service rifle was given a complete overhaul by military armourers while still in service.
Thus an FTR marked rifle is still in original condition after it has left the service.
If the rifle's history is your appeal, then an FTR'd rifle is far more likely to have seen significant use in combat and not just sat in a rack on a naval ship.
This is a full wood FULLY MATCHED (even the MAGAZINE) NUMBERED 1942 Enfield that was FTR'ed in 1953 afetr the WW2 service.
Overall Exterior Condition: Clean and in great working condition. Wood does show the usual bumps and dents. No cracks.
Metal has been refinished during FTR process - Gun appears to work 100%.
Action Type: Bolt action
Barrel Length: 19 inch
Bore Condition: Excellent
Additional Features: Receiver has No 4 Mk 1/2 (F) FTR 53 Y35722 marked on left side.. Has sling correct for era.
