For sale is a Gew 1888/05 Commission Rifle in good condition. The rifling is strong, and the bore retain some shine. Unit markings are still present.
The unit marking indicates that this rifle served with the 52nd Reserve Infantry Regiment. During WW1, this Regiment was attached to the III Reserve Corps, and participated in the Schlieffen Plan and the First Battle of Ypres.
