Marlin 1893 30-30 Deluxe half-octagon barrel pistol grip with 24 inch length barrel. SN 170874 dates it manufactured in 1887, the fourth year of manufacturing this model, and 138 years old. Fully functional mechanically but the barrel is leaded up. It either needs a very good cleaning or to be sleeved with an insert barrel, which runs around $300 - $400 at a gunsmith. I have not fired the gun.
I contacted Cody Firearms Records Office for build specifications and they wrote back "Please note, however, no record is available for this Marlin. It is within range but is blank."
