Marlin PCMR (Pacific Coast Militia Ranger) issued during  WW II to the Rangers on the British Columbia Coast to protect from a west coast invasion. Most issued PCMR rifles were Winchester 94's and only a few were Marlin Model 1936's in 30-30. It is very hard to find a Marlin of this vintage with much if any case colour remaining, and the original case colour is in very good condition. On the receiver is the broad head arrow in a C stamp. Because the metal of the case colour receiver is so hard, impressions were very difficult to stamp into the metal. The blueing on the barrel is also in very good condition as well with a few handling marks.  What also makes this rifle unique is that it comes with a factory installed peep site – There is no indication of a front site nor a rear elevator site previously installed on this rifle. A PCMR lapel pin has been installed on the buttstock over top of where there would have been the broad head arrow in a C stamped in the wood. Sling swivel holes have been plugged.  comes with military canvas case and ammo pouch. A rare find, great piece of history, and in superb condition.
