Shown here is the forward mounted options as shown in the picture. This is as a true scout style scope with a larger eye relief. It is mounted  with Vortex OEM  scope rings on the OEM picatinny rail.

As a second option Ruger included 2 OEM scope rings that allow the scope to be in a traditional mid way position which is further back on the rifle. There are two areas embedded into the frame of the rifle from the factory where the scope rings would sit on the body and be installed.
