Winchester Model 1895 carbine in .303 Brit. with 22" round barrel, lever action dated 1903.

Factory wood is very good, a few marks, and two small gouges in photos. Some carbines were ordered from factory with no top wood. These firearms do not have the four slots. This one does, so it is missing the factory top handguard. Screws show minor use. Original sights fully intact. Recoil pad and all metal showing light petina. Bluing remains at app. 60 - 80% throughout. Bore shows minor corrosion from use with black powder but is very usable. Rifling throughout.  

Using snap caps operation of firearm is excellent. Top load, cycles and ejects well with good firing pin contact. Half cock safety verified. Graded good.
