Have you always wanted to shoot an 1871 Mauser, but the thought of reloading sounds like too much work? Well, this version converted to .22 rim fire is the solution!
Original a Jägger Mauser, issued out to an artillery unit judging by the stock markings. It eventually found it's way to some Belgian gunsmith, likely before WW1 when parlor shooting was a common sport. What better way to show off at a bar, than to have your parlor rifle be the same as your service rifle?
The barrel was drilled out, and a barrel around 13" was inserted inside. I have shot this with various .22 short, long, and long rifle. Short and long work well, but .22Lr tends to bulge the case, and is hard to extract, so I wouldn't recommend it.
Looking to get $1275 local pick up, or $1325 shipped for this rifle, but im open to trade offers.
This rifle is a one of a kind item, so it's not likely you'll see anything like this, unless you make it yourself.
