Here is a rare seen US Property Savage Lee Enfield No4 MK1 no star in 303 British caliber. Very early production according to serial number. Bolt force matched to receiver. Other parts are not serialized. Receiver has spring loaded bolt release instead of the later cut style for bolt head. The cocking piece is a very rare seen early round style. A lot of parts are Savage S marked like barrel bands, front sight, trigger guard etc. rear sight is type 1 singer sight but British made. Milled barrel bands and sight protector. Forend wood is correct low cut Savage profile. There is a small chip at the end corner of rear handguard. US flaming bomb on receiver. Comes with military canvas sling. See flicker album for details. Bore is great condition still some shine, rifling sharp and strong. I haven’t shot it myself, please consult with trusted gunsmith before bring it to the range. Asking $1580, shipping on buyer if needed.
